Sugarbowl Ski Resort This is the closest ski area to the cabin. As a matter of fact, the cabin is practically at the base. Live cam and road conditions reports here too
Sierra Summers A decent guide to what to do in the area during the non-snow months: mountain biking (we recommend the Hole-in-the-Ground trail and the Rim trail), sailing, golf, climbing, etc.
Rock Climbing -- There's fine climbing around Lake Tahoe and environs, much of it on the top of Donner Summit just a short walk from the cabin. We suggest just googling "Lake Tahoe climbing" to find your required beta. There's also a good guide published by Falcon Press.
Pacific Crest Trail Association The PCT runs through the cabin's backyard
Westwide Avalanche Network
California Snow Great site for info on area snowpack and a must for backcountry Sierra skiiers
Tahoe National Forest Run by the good ole USDA.....
