Other Goings On...
By definition, having gone to Dartmouth, you're already pretty cool, right? But if you're doing something cool- we'd like to know about it... and hey, if we can promote it, why not!
We can include in our Emailcasts a little blurb telling our over 800-name list about what you're doing. So if you're going to be on TV, or have a play, or you're in a performance or movie- we'd love to come see it. While we have in mind our large group of alums in the entertainment industry (over 12% of the alumni here) this is open to all dues-paying members of the Dartmouth Club of LA. A couple of guidelines:
It cannot be too commercial. Specifically, we will not overtly advertise a product or service... if you want to give a discount for Dartmouth grads and/or give some of the proceeds to our scholarship fund, then let's talk & maybe work out a deal. Also know that we won't promote anything that is overtly political, or runs contrary to the mission of the DCLA,. In other words, it at our discretion... Email us a short (couple of paragraphs at most) blurb that we can cut & paste verbatim. We reserve the right to edit you down if you're too wordy. We try not to clutter everyone's in-box with tons of emails, so give us a little advance notice too- about a week or so.

If you really want to get the word out to the over two thousand Dartmouth alums in the LA metro area (we cover everything except OC), then sponsor an event at your business (or movie premiere, album release, etc.). You'll get in the newsletter, we'll put you on the web, yada, yada yada... it's a good thing.
The Dartmouth Club of LA "Emailcast"
Dartmouth Club LA Emailcast is an occasional spin-off of the of our club newsletter. This list covers events throughout the Southern California area. It will keep you posted about upcoming events and items that didn't make it into our current newsletter. Many last-minute items come up so fast they don't even make it to the web site- so join and stay in touch!
This is a moderated list, so if you have information you wish to post to the list, email owner-dartmouth-club-LA-emailcast@Dartmouth.edu While we will not accept overtly commercial items, if you are doing something cool and looking for some shameless promotion by the club, host an event. You'll get you or your company's name in front of fellow Dartmouth alums, as well as exposure to other Ivy League alumni, with whom we "cross-post" our events.
