For 43 years, Santa's Village has been tailored for kids 2-12, their parents and grandparents. Santa's Village is located in Skyforest near Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino mountains, about 1 hour 45 minutes drive from downtown Los Angeles. Buried mile high in a centuries old ponderosa pine forest, Santa's Village provides the closest conditions to a New England Fall that you can find in Southern California. With his wife Deborah, Bill Grant '78, President of Santa's Village hosted several families of Dartmouth alumni to a delicious chicken and ribs barbecue in the center of one of California's oldest and most beloved theme parks. Bill is pictured at right, with his uncle, J. Putnam Henck, who founded the park in 1955. Final Season of Santa's Village ends March 1. Currently, The San Bernardino Mountains Wildlife Society has an option to buy the property for a wildlife sanctuary and keep undeveloped land behind the park as a natural habitat. |
