On Wednesday, February 4, the Dartmouth Club of Los Angeles gave a fond farewell to James O. Freedman as he made his final visit to the West Coast as President of the College. Freedman, a legal scholar and national spokesman for liberal education, announced in September that he would step down next June after 11 years as Dartmouth's 15th president to join the faculty of the College.

Speakers included William Neukom '64, Dartmouth Trustee and Lawyer for Microsoft (pictured above left), Hosea Harvey '95, a former intern for President Freedman (now a JD/Phd candidate at Stanford), as well as our club president, Craig Douglass '78. The evening was capped off by an impressive surprise performance by Jennifer Leigh Warren ' (pictured below right).
