Rusty was diagnosed with cancer in 1995. After a long fight, and finding humor to the end, Rusty died on July 24, 1997. Carol has been a marvel throughout. She held a party celebrating Rusty's life (Rusty had planned each detail down to the food and wine). Several Tuckies were there, and we all drank a farewell toast to Rusty.
