Although we live in Connecticut most of the year, this e-mail is coming to you from N.C. as our family is once again spending the summer at our house on Topsail Island off the coast line of North Carolina.
For the first two weeks of every summer I suffer adjustment shock as I get used to mustard and collard greens instead of arugula, no one who can pronounce an Italian last name much less spell one, being called ma'am by every one of all ages, and everything that comes with beach life in the South versus life in the suburbs of Fairfield County, CT.
I must admit however that we are having a great summer in spite of my adjustment difficulties.
Our son is 9 and entering 4th grade and my step daughter is 19 and a sophomore at Penn. State ..... Deans List unlike her step-mom.
