CLASS OF 1962 HOME PAGE

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome to the Class of 1962 web site, where we drink again from the cup of fellowship, fondly remember our transformation from pea-green freshmen to grand old seniors and renew our commitment to the values we imbibed (some more literally than others) within the gleaming, dreaming walls of Dartmouth.

The site is a work-in-progress, so bear with us. To navigate, "mouse over" the three headings above (Classmates, Class News and Archives) to reveal pull-down menus. If the menu item turns green (what else?) when you mouse-over, it means the link is active. If not, be patient, we're working on it. Similarly for the blue text and links at the bottom of the page. If you have suggestions or comments regarding the site, send us an e-mail by clicking here or on one of the names below.

CLASS OF 1962 WRITING AND RHETORIC PROGRAM

Following the success of our Faculty Fellowship Program, the Class of 1962 decided at our 45th Reunion to endow a new project: The Class of 1962 Writing and Rhetoric Program. Our new Program will support courses in the College's Writing and Rhetoric Program, designed to strengthen students' skills in these disciplines. The Class of 1962 Writing and Rhetoric Program will "support discipline-specific writing courses in a 'Writing and Rhetoric Across the Curriculum' approach. Such an approach will teach students to communicate more effectively in their chosen fields of study."

The Class of 1962 Writing and Rhetoric Program Fund was established with initial contributions from two anonymous classmates of $25,000 apiece. To this initial $50,000 funding, additional contributions totaling $15,319 have been received from numerous class donors. We are counting on additional and recurring contributions to the Fund over the coming years with an initial goal in mind of $250,000 and hopes of eventually reaching $1,000,000. (Click here for further information on how to contribute, click here to go to the Class of 1962 Writing and Rhetoric Program Page.)
