               Richard Paul Jennison

RICHARD PAUL JENNISON died in Antrim, New Hampshire on April 15, 2009 after a brief illness. Dick received his Dartmouth degree in geology and played football for four years. He was inducted into the Dover Hall of Fame for football, and his love of the sport was a lifelong hobby. After military service, Dick settled in Antrim and joined Kempner Insurance and Employee of Wausau as a safety engineer. He was an inspirational Boy Scout leader and led numerous 50-mile hiking trips through the White Mountains. Dick and his wife Martha donated to Baker Library several very old documents signed by Eleazar Wheelock’s father, also named Eleazar. The papers were found among old family documents, some dating back to 1670. He spent many years as a member of the town’s Conservation Commission, trying to slow the growth, clean the rivers and preserve the wetlands of his beloved community. Dick’s wife of 52 years, Martha, predeceased him, and four children and 11 grandchildren survive him.
